The beach has been awarded a European Blue Flag for cleanliness and its facilities. Ramps give access for wheelchairs and pushchairs, and a concrete path runs along the rear of the sands. The beach itself is a mixture of sand and shingle.
There is safe bathing in the bay, with lifeguards operating a flag system in the summer months. A wide variety of water sports is available. We particularly recommend Chris Watersports run by our friendly next door neighbours Jeff and Mo.
In July and August small sections of the beach may be cordoned off to protect turtles' nests.
There are three minimarkets selling groceries, postcards, holiday supplies, international newspapers, Cypriot handicrafts, souvenirs, novels, maps and travel guides.
